Front Wheel Bearings

Hi, can someone tell me if the front wheel bearings on the Leon Cupra TDI's are sealed units or not. Just in a dispute with a warranty company and need to know if they are sealed units because these should last up to 85k. What is the average life of wheel bearings also.

Sealed, they are not open raced.

'sealed unit' isn't quite the right word. You don't adjust or grease them. You run them until they fail. My fronts had done 83k when I sold the hub assemblied with the bearings still good.

Cheers for the advice, so if i go back to the warranty company what type of bearings shall i say they are? My car is just on 70k and they have stated that it's wear and tear, my argument is that they should not of failed so soon.
