Front wheel hub

well lastnite..

after getting me front springs sorted...my "mate" apperenlty tightneded me wheels enough when he put them back on.

anyway after driving round town theres a slight rumble. THEN SUDDENLY!!!..My car just nosedives into the floor...my passenger side wheel flies off my car...and doen the road (Lucky as foook no one was on front off me anyway after my car stopped griding along the floor ...got 40 ft long mark in the road........i get out. ...also need a new hub where the threads are messed up..when the wheel came off.

Where can i get a new hub from?

tried local breakers and a bit of online stufff...

I got a Dansk hub from Euro Car Parts. 26 quid.

And yeah, can't see the photos.

Can't send a link because it doesn't show a unique address for the result. Dead easy to find though.

eurocarparts.com > parts > enter the car info > scroll down to 'transmission' and select 'wheel hubs', lists 4 different ones. The differences are manufacturer and abs/non abs.

Don't give your mate too much grief about this - I've had wheelbolts left finger tight by paid tyre fitters before now. Fortunately, one of the nuts was on sufficiently tight to stop the wheel falling off, but after being aware of rumbling noises on the way home, I popped the hubcap off and two bolts fell out onto the floor (good start), leaving me one that was crazy tight and another that was finger tight. Needless to say, I've not taken a car back there again...

i havent gave him grief like...accidents do happen...just lucky as that no one was hurt

Whenever you put a wheel back on, after driving a few miles i always re-check/tighten the bolts. Saying that im going to go and check mine now lol.

Lucky there was no more damage.
