FSE power valve

The car I recently picked up has been to Northampton Motorsport and had the following mods fitted:-

Supersprint Backbox
Panel Filter
FSE Power boost valve

Before the mods the car made 122.4 bhp @ 5619 with 132.1 lb/ft @ 3000

After the mods the car made 124.7 bhp @ 5510 with 136.3 lb/ft @ 2946


My question is do I leave the FSE power valve in place (lots of opinions on these, mainly negative), as the power increase seems very small for what the previous owner payed out for, also the increased fuel it is using vs cost.

Do I source a standard FPR or leave it as it is?

you don't need more fuel - you're not intro ducing any more air (same cam profile..) so std is fine

So remove FSE valve?. Is this in addition to the standard fpr or a replacement? (not too familiar with the engine yet)

I know! Had to laugh, the previous owner was charged £420 for the work.

Should be able to pick one up for peanuts 2nd hand.

Try westec - they'll have spares from 4 bar upgrades on Revo'd cars.
