Fuel consumption and odometer

Hey guys I recently brought a 2012 seat Leon 2.0 TDI FR CR it's ace but I'm just wondering about milage as it seems like a gas guzzler ? also the consumption odometer is all over the place and doesn't give a true reading...any ideas thanks ?

Yea mine tells me everything is hunky dory, but in reality it's not brilliant. On a run you should see 50+mpg easily.

Few things can really hammer the mpg tho:

Town driving
Boost leaks
Multiple DPF regenerations
Booting it everywhere
