I'm just wondering how many miles you guy's get to a tank of fuel. I have the 1.6 stylance and now fuel is coming down in price a full tank is costing me about £45 and i seem to get about 330-350 miles out of the tank, meaning between 32 and 35 mpg (according to the trip computer). I'm just wondering if for this engine this economy is about right...

Thanks

i have the tdi fr and i get about 450 miles to the tank and usually average around 42 mpg. There is a massive thread about this if you search you will find it and there a loads of responses on it to give you a good idea

I have a TDI FR and my bong went on saturday night at 450 and got to just over 500 as i left it to the last drop.... when i came to fill up with the trip computer saying 0 miles but i could only put 51 litres in so almost a gallon left!

I have the Cupra and get 400 miles to a tank at around 32-34 mpg but thats from mainly 35mile each way motorway commute.

1.9TDi Stylance

Best trip value I've had is 60mpg, Best I've had over the course of a tank is 54mpg (If i'd of run it dry that would of worked out to 650 miles)

Top Gear Magazine ran an Ecomotive Leon from Spain to the UK, They got 939 miles on a tank......

I have a 1.6 stylance too.

At one point (Spring and Summer) I was getting a minimum of 34 mpg (town and country) and a max of about 44. Once I even managed a whooping 57 mpg. I wasn't driving like a granny either.

Now however my mpg has gone right down. I struggle to get to 40mph at all. I checked the tyres and these were down so pumped them up the required levels. Have seen an improvement but nothing like the 44 i was regualrly getting before. Do you think it's down to the cold weather? I would haev thought this was the case when the car is cold but driving after about 10 mins it should be warm enough to run properly right?

Average 20-22mpg around town! 30-32 short motorway journeys. Best ever on long run 47mpg!

my FR TFSI gets about 350 from a tank

does about 30 mpg whicg isn't too bad if the 1.6 only does 32 !

Mines is getting about 520 odd to the tank (2.0 Ltr PD140 TDI)
Alex
p.s. do a search there was a massive thread about this recently and it all depends on what kind of driving you do, over what types of roads. Not everyone is going to be the same.

Well on my motorway and A-road commute I usually get 620km to a tank (thats at about 140km/h on the motorway guzzling it) but i dont let it drop too low before refilling. Usually works out at about 35-37 mpg over a tank for my 1.6. Around town this drops to about 500km to a tank though, especially when using the air con. On a nice steady run 40-44 is easily achievable though
