About to go stage 2 and I've been advised to upgrade my fuel pump.

What do people recommend?
Mk1 face lift AUQ.

Lol I get ya there about 20 quid cheaper than the sytec from what I can see funny though the Walbro pump is the same as used in a Classic Subaru

I would probably go with bill as I too am ooking in to going stage 2 and as my car is getting on a bit I thought I would replace fuel pump, looking in to Wallbro people have had pick up problems, Iv found that the Sytec is only about £57 so cheaper than an o.e pump so will be using one.

We'll if it fits and works what's the trouble?

walbro 255 does'nt "just fit" tho

Sytec one we found is drop in replacement. same form factor..
Seems ok as a replacement unit
I would'nt ask 4bar of it or expect it to support BT power but as an affordable intank replacement its ok

That's cool, we'll if mine fails I'll stick with the sytec as it seems a trusted pump for the cupra as a replacement if mine fails

It adequate for stage 2 power on an AUQ 20vt though?

Sytec say it is a drop in I.e replacement for 1.8t including cupra r's so I can't see why it wouldn't be capable of stage 2, pus being a brand new pump will be a lot stronger than the old pump currently in the car.

My car is a 2002 and before going stage 2 I'm just going to buy the sytec in tank pump.

Asking a 12 yo fuel pump to perform at stage 2 is only going to end in tears, better off replacing the pump for the sake of £65 or end up running lean and melting pistons.
