Hi everyone just quick question iv got a 4bar fuel pressure regular on my car and a 3bar fuel pump thats gone down the shoot after 3 months. Does this have to be a 4bar fuel pump as well if so where can I get one from been looking everywhere but can't find one or is it fine to buy another 3bar reason for getting another pump is it keeps cutting out while driving its been fine for about 3 months but now its impossible to drive for more than 10 min without cutting out

As far as I know its the FPR that will need mapping in, not the pump itself... Its the regulator that changes the actual fuelling... You can use unisettings to pull the trim back down to avoid throwing EML apparently.

Exactly, you cant just put an 4 bar FPR in or the car will run too rich (the lambda cant compensate for that if I heard correctly). I was stage 2 mapped not too long ago and had the car adjusted for 4 bar FPR.

The FPR regulates the pressure, not the pump (as Leon cupra r states).

Yeah thats right its already have the 4bar fpr mapped in I just wondering if the pump needed doing by adding another pump like above how will that change anything o and I think it's the pump in the tank that needs changing

If the regulator is pulling 4 bar from the pump it will put more strain on it than a 3 bar FPR would. A weak pump may be unable to supply 4bar, hence the need for replacement.
