So I thought it may be useful to provide prices of fuel in these crazy times.

I went to my usual Texaco today ( knowing that prices were at an all time high) wanting to put just £20 in my formentor VZ2 opting for my usual 99 Ron supreme unleaded usually priced around £1.47-1.50 a litre. Obviously I was expecting to pay a bit more at the moment. As I arrived to the forecourt regular unleaded was advertised at 1.43.7 ( of which I thought was a reasonable price at the moment considering) so I thought that 99 Ron might not be a price that is out of this world, how I was wrong. Picked the pump up for supreme unleaded ( as that's the only way to check the price) 1.90.9! I put it straight back down and put the regular stuff in to tie me over.

What prices are people getting for supreme unleaded or regular at the moment? For reference this was in the north west in Preston.

That's daylight robbery, I would never return there.
Only other super unleaded got near me is shell v power would be interesting to see how much that is. Unfortunately Tesco momentum is too far out my way to be convenient. There are BP's but don't rate their 97 Ron BP ultimate

I filled up mine at Tesco today with super unleaded and I thought 147.9 was a bit expensive, feels like I got a bargain now.

I have the VZ1 hybrid so haven't filled it yet since i got it but my other car is a mini JCW that only gets fed on vPower and its around £1.60 litre currently.
Not good considering the mpg on the JCW is high 20s at best!

As I'm still waiting on my Formentor arriving, I am currently using my mates 22 year old VW Golf 2.0 Cabrio. As it's over 20 years old, nobody can 100% confirm if it is OK to run on the new E10 rubbish, so have to run it on super unleaded. I usually just stick the E5 super stuff from Morrisons in it which is about £1.47.9 a litre, but a few weeks ago I had no alternative but to use BP Ultimate at £1.59.9 a litre. I think that's the dearest fuel I've ever bought in my life!

I will make sure to top up my other car to full, before coming back to England. Of course, it's possible, that prices in Europe went up too in last few weeks. I've been paying around £1.04 for 95 in Poland.

I still have half tank of cheap petrol in Formentor, topped it up in September, before whole fuel crisis.

Went to fill up at my regular Shell station today. It was the first time I’d been since the shortages to find it was stocked with V-Power. The V-Power was £1.55.9 a litre, regular 95 unleaded £1.42.9. I put in regular.

Had no choice but to put in E10 which gives absolutely crap MPG. Struggling to get anywhere near 300 out of a full tank driving sensibly. Had to also fill my bike with E10 and lost 30 miles of its range. There’s a Tesco near by, and since shortages have past, back to the good stuff for both.

Like most people have reported this E10 crap fritters away very quickly in the fuel tank so Visited nearest Tesco to mine that supply's Tesco momentum 99ron (Leyland, Preston) bit out of my way but I was in that neck of the woods anyway so put 2/3rds of a tank in. £149.9 per litre.

Lol come off it, you’ll be lucky to spot 1mpg difference in perfect like for like testing between e5 and e10.

300 miles from 55L tank is 25mpg. This is so easily achievable unless you’re doing lots of cold, short journeys.

I am so glad we got a hybrid with petrol prices the was they are at the moment. Seems to be 1.44 around her 95 Ron but on cost 65 pence for 32 miles on electric or if going a bit further we use hybid fuel computer is saying we get 82 mpg since we got the car. We had not had any issue for 2300 miles but Friday I got the dreaded SOS message come up 3 or 4 times but touch wood been ok since

Is Texaco's E5 not 95 RON?

Today I nearly filled up with Esso's E5 99 Ron at £1.66/Lt. but put the pump back and filled later on at my local Esso for £1.61..
