Nice 👍 that’s a right result. Fair play.
I’ve not seen or done one on these are they similar to the mk2 Leon with its bolted from the back of the hub with triple square headed bolts?
I couldn't say, this'll be the first time I've done one on a Seat. But I've had plenty of advice on the other thread. Straight forward in principle, potential to be a pain in the arse. We shall see.

Its more time than money thats the issue. Not that ive got much of either lol.
But changing a shaft is quicker and easier to do.
I must admit i think i felt it slightly through the seat and wheel. Felt slightly cv to me. The bit i dont get is the noise it makes. Very strange.

If you get round to doing it I'd be keen to hear the outcome.

still reckon its bearing same happened to me i thought i had another mouse nest on that side again lol, iv cv it would crunch and you'd feel it in the steering wheel well if its bad, one thing that does go a lot on mine is the cv boot clips , don't no why but its cheaper than a cv

That's the bizarre thing, the contrasting diagnosis on each visit. First time they told me they could definately hear the noise and that's what led to the nearside front bearing being changed. When I told them it had made no difference they asked me to try and record the noise and email them the audio file, which I did. Then on the second visit they took it out and were none the wiser. They said they could find nothing wrong from underneath either, should the noise be the result of something else.

Of course, they were quick enough to point out that the cars 5 year service (timing kit) was due and that they were happy to change it for £850. Aye that old chestnut..
£850 wtf did you ask someone to help you up after passing out and falling on the floor after that Quote lol

Hoping itll last the week out but also makes itself known.

you, if it is cv and there's no grease or grit in there it wont last long may just need new grease as clips gone or boot has ripped

Well just a little update.
Im no closer to figuring out the noise.
Didn't get a chance to put it on the ramp.
Took a mate out yesterday morning as passenger for a listen and nothing! Not a noise, not a murmer!
Then went out last night to get a takeaway and it was making the noise from when i set off to when i got back!
Its beyond me 🙄

After all that ^^^, i think its just something iffy on the inner edge of the ns brake disc.
Had a few damp mornings recently and its got worse untill i touch the brake and it almost goes away.
Still havnt had the chance to look though 🙄.
If i get a dry day and early finnish, ill take a look next week.

Ok, im now sure it is the brake discs.
I put new pads in a while back. I did chanfer the edges but it looks like not enough.
Had the wheel off and theres a bit of a lip on the inner edge.
That and the rattle from the inner rollbar bushes, its not getting the attention it used to get.
Lools like i know what I'll be spending my money on when i get paid in January.
