My K1 has decided to put the ESP warning light on but nothing has stopped working.

I had it checked with Vagcom and it has found the following:-

01435 - Brake Pressure Sensor 1
( G201)
012-Electrical Fault in Circuit.

Anyone had the same issue?

What year is your car?
Pretty sure this only affects cars upto 57 reg.
There are some fixes available for a few hundred pound but the official Seat repair is around £700 from memory.

Requires repair kit for ABS block, used to be able to get G201 and G202 as seperate sensors on older stuff but now its all built in to the ABS pump unit.

Hi, sorry about jumping on to this thread but my ESP light came on and stayed on yesterday (Monday) morning. I've got a mate's code reader, which I'll use tonight.

Allbutt55, is the part you're talking about an OEM replacement, or the improved Externally Fitted Brake Pressure Sender? As described here...

www.sinspeed.co.uk/volkswagen-audi-common-abs-fault-brake-pressure-sender-sensor-switch-failure

Just don't want to replace mine with a part that may fail again in the future.

My Leon is a 2007 1.9 TDi. Thanks for your help.

Hi mate, its a repair kit that vag brought out when they started seeing problems with the abs pumps, you used to have to buy a complete unit but don't anymore. It will be a modified version though and i have never seen a replacement fail.

Thanks. Do all Leon 1P use that Part No? Tried Googling but couldn't find Year or Model specific details.

How long should a decent mechanic take?

Takes a couple of hours, gotta swap the bits out then bleed brakes and abs pump, i can do it for you if you like but i wont be able to do it for around a month as im very busy atm work wise. Hopefully have moved into a unit by then too.
