+1 for ALA.

Use discount MSE25 for a 25% discount of their website screen prices. They also have a best price guarantee and will match competitors online prices if you find the equivalent cover cheaper elsewhere.

I should probably just add and you may already know this, but if I recall, you can't extend it. So choose the initial period carefully because when it expires, that's it.

I use ALA - the friendliest customer services I have experienced in a long time, and a good deal.

Definitely worth getting a quote from them.

I've gotten GAP through a company the dealer has specified but looks like ALA is about £30 a month cheaper!!

I'm still in the cooling off period on the Dealer GAP and can cancel, would I still be able to use ALA for my GAP?

Or is it only once per set year period/car?

By chance i just posted abut this in another section i used www.gapinsurance.co.uk twice now - both occasions they were very good on price think i quoted briskoda forum and i think i had some discount.

They were also very helpful when i contacted them.

Just did a quote with ALA and it was £154 for 3 years with the 25% discount, that is on my used Invoice purchase price, not bad as dealer wanted £399

Even without the 25% discount, it’s still significantly cheaper than the dealer price.

Dealer GAP insurance is horrendously expensive (VW is just the same).

Not got it myself but after my sister's A Class was written off while it was parked up, only having it about 5 months.
Insurer offered her £17.5k, she had gap with ALA think she paid about £120 at the time.
Think dealer was offering it for about £4/500 at the time.
They paid out return to invoice £21.5k no hassle shortly after her insurance payout.
So can vouch first hand for good service and process of claims
