It’s personal preference tbh, it works really well so left it at that

They have sent a spare pack, only thing is there bigger. The original size was M6 and the new bolts they sent are M8 so I had to go halfords to get new nuts lol. 1 is in and does hold it but I'm going to put the second one in today and then replace the bolts on the first one as the new bolts look a lot stronger.

Just so you know I fitted my gas bonnet struts about a year ago. The front ball joints where they met the inner wing are going rusty.

Think I'll remove them and paint them.

The new bolts they sent me are dark brown rather than silver like the first set that snapped. I think these new bolts are stronger and there slightly bigger.

Hopefully you won't have the rust problem then. Other than that mine are great can't fault them.

Finally got them in lol. I had to use the old smaller bolts on the bottom as there was no where to fit the larger bolts, and I used the new bigger bolts on the top. Now I just need to take the old bonnet stand off.

Thread is a couple of years old now, so any link would be invalid. However, search "Seat Leon bonnet" on Ali Express - price has come right down from what they were. I recently bought a set for my Toledo, they only took about 2.5 weeks to arrive, and were under £18. Took literally 10 minutes to fit.
