Hi guys!
I've got the strangest noise and sensation when I give full throttle and push the gas pedal to the floor. It's like I'm pushing some plastic trigger in right at the bottom of the floor and it's also making a clicking noise. Is this normal or is something broken? Is it an eco thing that you're actually not supposed to give full throttle or is something activated when this happens?
Anyways it's really annoying and i just like to know you've got this"feature"aswell?
Thanks in advance!

This may be a feature for DSG equipped cars? With the VW Golf R you can use full throttle but also push a bit further and it will put the gearbox in to sports mode so it kicks down to give maximum acceleration and give full power. (Some of the drive modes don’t give full power)

It's the kickdown sensor for the speed limiter. When you push through that last little 'click' it will override the limiter.

Probably a better description for that switch is WOT or Wide Open Throttle - that will get used for many situations, including, I'd expect, to inhibit injector spraying under "engine cranking" to help clear a flooded engine.
