gear box mounts

has anyone else had trouble with there gearbox mouts going mine went 2 months ago seat repaied it under waranty and last night it sounds like they are going again if anyone else has had trouble like this what have they done to stop them from going
ps. i have had my car chiped its about 170bhp now

Ask in the newer Ibiza section, or in the diesels. Only hardcore Cordy drivers here.

i have asked in those and had no luck there either as there are nothing but hardcore cordy drivers in here they should be able to help me!

Is it cos the diesel is now producing more torque than the mounts were designed for? How about uprated ones? VR6 ones should be the same and you can buy uprated ones.

i guess that is the case i'm trying to look for uprated ones but can't find any can u point me in the right direction

What year and model is your car. Show us a pic of the mounts. Are they the same as VR6 ones. They should be available everywhere. I can get em down under, should be easy as up top!

Not heard of anyone having a problem in the Mk4 Ibiza's when chipped ( same engine etc ) so I'd say there was something wrong. Unless you're doing a lot of standing launches you shouldn't be going through mounts that quick.
