Will find out total when gearbox stripped as to what needs to be replaced and that will determine total (he mentioned that genuine VAG parts will be used and invoices provided for the bits ordered/changed), i shall post results/price up when i collect/refit the box.. As a guidance i should imagine it to be no more than £350 all in..

To revive an old thread to help others with the same issue, here is something to assist... I got in touch with a Gearbox specialist in Nottingham called ALLGEARS and spoke to a chap by the name of Neil who has been building boxes for over ten years, i have used him before in the past so thought id give him a bell (completely forgot id had had sort my box in past lol)... Best option would be to call him and describe the issue you are having with your box and he will give you an accurate indication as to worst case scenario and best case scenario. Awaiting fitment and test driving with mine, but so far looking good.. Cheers Neil
