It should be.
2 bolts into the bottom of the gearbox and 2 into the subframe.
Some people have issues with the 2 in the subframe but mine came out without any problems.

Epic. What would you want for a dog bone lol

Those in the subframe for the dog bone can be an utter.... not very nice thing. Corrosion means they may snap as they're long and thin. Yes it happened to me, no I wasn't happy but as I was swapping out the subframe anyway it wasn't the end of the world, just made things difficult

If you do change the gearbox oil, do yourself a favor and get it off VW or Seat. The 5 speed gearboxes are really fussy.
Silkoene (sorry, Fuchs Sintofluid FE75w worked fine, rumor has it that it's the standard factory fill.)
Gulf was horrible, specced for this gearbox, but would snag & pop out of gear.
The Seat G060726A2 stuff is fully synthetic, about £8 a liter, cheaper than most other fluids that don't work.

I only get VW approved oils. is it the same oil for 6 speeds? 02m specifically

Hi, I was only quoting mine as an example, but it was a waste of time & money trying anything else than the dealers stuff.
I did check with the russian ETKA that I was getting suplied the right stuff by the SEAT dealer. The part quoted was for my five speed.
I usually change gearbox oils every 100,000 miles. Fill & forget is bollocks.
The rusty opaque horror that was the synthetic silkolene (sorry, it was Fuchs Sintofluid fe75w) after 140,000 miles was suprising, as the gearbox was as sweet as a nut.
