Hi all,
So ,long and short.
had a helix stage 1 clutch/flywheel fitted due to the typical 30k miles slip. Bedded the new clutch in ..albeit terrified to plant my foot again! However ,1k miles later I decided to put the clutch to its use and go for it.. felt perfect.
I’d say not even 500 miles later I cannot get it into gear. 1 to 6 / Reverse. As if something is blocking it from engaging the gear?!
Has anyone had any similar faults? Racking my brain. Cheers in advance

Sounds like clutch release bearing.

Try double clutching. So 1st gear clutch down into neutral. Bring clutch back up and then down again into 2nd gear. See if it works like that. I would suspect release bearing if so

I'd also say that the link between the clutch pedal and the clutch release bearing is compromised. Maybe the fork engaging the bearing, or the clip fixing the fork?

Hope this works out for you rather fast and without too much additional costs!!!

Sorry mate ..is this thread that much of a problem to you? If so ,I’ll delete so you can carry on your day happy
Just trying to help you post in the right place, as you are fairly new to the Forums, so you may get the best response to you queries. No problem to me personally if you don't wish to act in a sensible way. A member of the admin team would only tell you the same, as what is the point of just posting in any old thread, no one would be able to find anything.

If you were trying to help me post in the right place you would have stated the above in your first message. There was no advice ,just a dig. Admin hasn’t said anything either. Again ,apologies for causing stress by this but really don’t see the harm. As said ,if it’s really that much of a big deal to you and everyone that’s up in arms about this ,then I will remove the thread.
i saw ‘cupra’ and ‘motorsport’ to which being a cupra forum ,felt in the motorsport section would potentially be a knowledgeable section of this forum for my question. Evidentially ,I’m wrong.
