Gearbox oil drain plug tool

Is the drain plug tool an M16 tamper proof spline socket? found one one ebay just want to see if its the correct one. Its basically a 16mm spline socket with a hole drilled in the top of it. Is this right???

Any links ? it sounds like the 1 i know the 1 from VW is about 15 quid. i got 1 the other day.

I tried to change gearbox oil today and found out I have that special plug as well. Does it have a special name? Get it from VW? mm?

When the snapon man came down when i did mine he said there is only one type of this tool. Not much help but definitly splinned with tamper proof hole.

Draper 63476 or Sealy SX107 are both compatible with VW 3357.

Also you can buy a m16 spline socket from halfords etc and drill a 8mm hole down the centre of it for a fraction of the price!!!!
