I'v just had a right time trying to get my car in reverse. All of a sudden it seems really hard to engage :S The rest of the gears too seem a little more harder to engage? Any ideas?

Thanks

Ken

Just been shopping and its just reverse thats playing up. It some times takes a couple of goes to pop in or if i get the bite point in first it will then pop in to reverse.

I had this problem with my last car a Toyota Corolla GTI (... I know it's not a VAG but...) and the dealer said that it was to do with warn linkage bushes.

There was a service kit available but I just used to go thoough the gears with the clutch down before engaging reverse. Normally 1st and 2nd was enough.

Cheers for the reply. Tryed the first and second gear job and that poped it straight in to reverese. Linkage then? And if so how much is it going to cost?

Cheers again
