Gearbox rebuild cost.

Along with my suspension upgrades I want to get the gearbox rebuilt admit has a bit I a whine coming from it.. Anybody got ideas what the cost of a rebuild would be - with standard parts and an uprated parts cost too..

I have an idea... around £800+ from what I was quoted in the past.

I had the clutch release bearing problem in mine causing a grinding noise when taking my foot off the accelerator in low gears. This cost £460 to remedy.

I had this same noise after a changed my clutch, luckily i just had to pay for new concentric but the repeat job was a pain!

Mine was £1500. That was whole thing though. New casing ,flywheel, clutch, the lot. Would expect around 1000 if using upgraded parts but most of is already your own. Wouldn't of thought you would be far out then. Maybe worth asking murderedlcr. Not sure if it was him , but think he had to rebuild his gearbox after fitting a wot box .

Probably cheaper to source a 2nd hand gearbox than getting it reconditioned
