General Hello and Meetings

Hello Everyone,

I joined the forum last September/October time in await for my Cupra R in November! Since then I have read the forum for any new information on my car and have enjoyed driving my LCR everywhere. At the moment I have 3 main mods that I would like to add to my car:

1) Cruise Control
2) HID Lights
3) Auto Mirror and Window Closure

I have searched and read many of the forum posts for Cruise Control and have not seen any concrete instructions for installation on a LCR. I have seen the install guide for the mk4 Golf and was wondering whether this is the same as the LCR install. I know that you have to buy the stalk, the extra wiring for the stalk and enable it using VAG-COM. But I'm not sure whether we reuire the extra wiring loom which is noted in the following link.

As for HID, does anyone know where the best place is to get a good KIT from (cheap and good quality), I did have a quick search, but I wanted to have a recent opinion because most of them seem to be ebay sales and ebay changes quite often! I'm ok with the Autowindow stuff because that looks pretty straight forward.....and for those of you who haven't heard about the Autowindow stuff, here we go:

Finally, I live and work in the Swansea area and was wondering if any of you guys are from Swansea, and if so whether you guys meet up for talks and stuff. I know one of the guys on here as he works in the same company, but think it would be good to hold some meetings, share some knowledge?? Let me know what you think, thanks for reading

HID's from Dianne-shop on ebay seem to have been the popular choice over the past few months with people on here. I have them and think their brilliant. Around £40 the last time i looked...

Hello mate

1) Can be done but you will need that extra bit of cable - has been convered in the past so you should be able to find more info with a quick search.

2) I too have the Dianne Shop ones from ebay - fitted about 2 weeks ago and they are superb - well worth the £46 delivered

3) Planning to do this my self at some point - it is as easy as it sounds!

As for meets there is a meetings/events section on here so probably best to have a look through there for something local to you!
