Gibon's Ibiza 130 sport

Hi everybody,

I read this forum since some months but I never introduced my biza.
So today, I do it. First of all, sorry for my poor english but it's not very easy for a french (we are very bad in foreign languages...:cartman:)

It's an ibiza tdi 130 sport of 2002, with 171 000km.
I bought it one year ago (perhaps less) with 130 000km. I immediatly wanted to do some modifications on it.

Here are the whole modifications :
  • cupra air intake
  • BMC filter
  • Milltek full exhaust without resonnator and cata (thank you Awesome for the price;)
  • Sachs organic clutch with new DM flywheel

Now, the ibiza run around 180hp and 420Nm with Nonock's remap.

  • Koni FSD and Eibach springs
  • Siata wheels from VW with 205/40 FK452

And soon :
  • cupra D FMIC
  • hybrid turbo GT17/20
  • brake caliper and handlers from an Audi TT 225 with EBC turbo grooved discs and Green
  • stuff pads

Purpose is around 220hp and 480Nm.

OK, but what does this ibiza look like ?:funk: Do you want some photos ?
I tried to post some pictures but I'm not allowed...

Do you want to know more ?[B)]

Hello, Gibson!

I like the way you have layed out your thread!

Car sounds good and so do the plans . I think it's 15posts you need to post pictures - so you know what needs to be done :)

Hi guys...

I understand I have to post in order to put some pictures. So you have to talk to me :D

Further precisions: the car is grey with 5 doors. I like the idea of sleeper car and that's what I want to do on this biza.

I said thank you to Awesome-gti because their prices are better than in France. Around 500 L sterling in Gb when it costs around 900€ in France [:@]
I contribute to english economy too. :funk:

The thing I like on the ibiza sport is the top speed because of the very long gearbox. But 80-120 km/h (what is the equivalent in miles ?) or 80-180 are pretty good. And it should be better with hybrid turbo.

If someone sells a cupra D FMIC, I pick it...

I see in some threads that a lot of us choose hybrid turbo from turbo dynamics.

There are stages, but I don't really understand. Is there reinforcement ? Hybrid turbo is hybrid turbo ?

Can someone give me explanation please ?
Thanks a lot;)

Welcome bud.

Sounds like your going down a very similar route to me.

I also have a 5 door PD130 Sport, and am also going down the lines of a hybrid turbo.

If you do go with the Turbo Dynamics unit, you want the stage 2 as it is a more capable turbo than the stage 1.

With this you should hopefully be seeing around 230+ bhp and 380ish ft/lbs of torque, providing the mapping is done properly.

The stage 1 is only a turbo from cupra D with some reinforcement, does it ? And the stage 2 is a real hybrid, do you know the specifics of this turbo ?

I just want to have 220 hp because the ibiza has a lot of km and I run some km per week.

I hope my turbo is stage 2!

Anyway, sounds like it'll be going back.

Welcome to the site fella! :)

Thanks for all your welcome.

I follow your thread with attention and I read that you have trouble with remap or turbo.[:@]
Hope you will find a solution. Is it just a problem of overboosting ? In this case, some solutions : tighten the actuator stem (spindle, how can you say ?), a big work on the N75 map, but I think P torque work on it...

Hi,

Today, I want to fit my cupra D FMIC with Forge piping but... one of the junction to OEM system is wrong.

I've already fitted the FMIC but I can't go ahead...[:@]

So today, I have 2 intercoolers on my ibiza :p

I hope Forge will quickly do something for me...
