My SEAT Leon 2.0 TDI 2015 (5F1) has a faulty glow plug, I am trying to work out whether its the glow plug with the pressure sensor (which costs £210 from Euro Car parts!!!!)

I used my OBD11 to diagnose the fault and it says its the glow plug in cylinder 2 (see screenshot below)

I changed a glow plug about a year ago, luckily it was not the one with the pressure sensor.

From what I recall, when the glow plug failed a year ago the glow plug warning light came on.

However, this time the engine MIL has come on instead, which makes me think its the glow plug with the pressure sensor (as MIL faults include emissinon related faults).

Is there a way to confirm whether this is the glow plug with the pressure sensor ?

And how do I find cylinder to on the engine block ?

Cylinder 3 glow plug has the pressure sensor in it.

The order of the cylinders is number 1 is at the timing belt end on the left and number 4 at the gearbox end on the right.

Not all TDI's have the 'expensive' glow plug with pressure sensor.
Mine doesn't - CUPA 09-2014 build.
edit# to add - that fault code could also be the glow plug control unit.

First - disconnect the connector & check number 2 glow plug resistance - between pin 1 and the glow plug housing. It should be between 0.2 - 1.0 Ω
If it's not then need a new glow plug.
If it is, then you need to check the wiring - checking the resistance between pin 1 and 102 of the glow plug control unit. Should be less than 1 Ω

Yes I now realise that I dont think mine is fitted with a pressure sensor either, because last time I replaced glow plug 3 and that didnt have the pressure sensor. So no expensive glow plugs on my car fortunately !
