Is that just when rolling down a steep hill

I bet it says something close to 2 miles per gallon when you've got your right foot planted

That was absolutly thrashing the **** out of it to within an inch of its life rash was also doing 140mph for most of the trip aswell over about 10 miles

rash, at santa pod i got an average of 8mpg all day, but did about 8 runs

I am getting 40'ish from my pd160 Cupra, I borrowed a Fabia VRS from a mate, drove it the same as I drive mine (commuting), got 60+. I know it is only a 130, but essentially the same engine, I am now getting concerned that mine is not good, at all. They are not short journeys (15mile). Both cars have similar mileage (11K on the Cupra 14K on the VRS). Are these figures correct. Also noted that the Fabia engine spins up much more smoothly than the Cupra. Any one else got some comparisons ?

Cupra Tdi /160 seem to do low to mid 40's .. 37-50 so far on mine, 47 on a long motorway trip at 75-80 with cruise and 43-44 averaged (with 215hp chip)

FR/130 seem to do low to mid 50's

Seems odd as basic mechanics are the same, just a turbo and ECU change ..
- higher output turbo will be less efficent at cruise rpm
- drag .. wide wheels and body kit adds a lot of loss
- less efficent intake at cruise on Cupra maybe due to resonance?
- 6 spd gearbox worse?.. maybe top gear is too high or losses higher if it is a higher torque rating so larger parts?
.. but 20% difference seems odd.. my guess is wheels and body kit mostly.

sorry for change of topic,but what was the top speed you had in the fr?
and was it remaped?

as i would love to know what sort of topend mine would do iv only been to
130 at the mo and seemed to have loads left!

I've seen *30 (on a runway) with plenty left to go in sixth, that was chasing my mates golf 1.8T with 240bhp

my mate also has one and says he was doing 140 on the motorway 4 up!
and there was more left!

saying that i would never do that sort of speed with 4 people in my car!

Oh, back on topic i'm getting 40-45mpg doing town work with the occasional A road journey, saw 60mpg on way back from santa pod, but 80mph seems to be 50mpg or just shy of it.
