I need new tyres and have always found the Eagle F1 range ok, so I'm happy to stick with them.

The tyre dealers lists 2 in my size, 225/40/18

"FP XL 71EA" at £86.99
"FP XL AO" at £93.99

the only difference I can see is the fuel efficency, the more expensive is listed at C, whereas the cheaper is listed at A.

Anyone know which is the correct ones for our cars?

I've checked the tyres already on and these markings aren't shown, a previous receipt does say rolling "resistance C" but that was an Asymmetric 3.

Thanks

Not sure about the 71EA on the cheaper tyre but the AO denotes a tyre co-developed with Audi, so presumably that tyre was (or is) the factory supplied one on some premium Audi models
