Just because I don't have coilovers...
how low do your springs go?
30mm front and back I believe. Eibach ProKit springs. Just after a little subtle drop really. Do too many miles for coilovers (if they are a bit harsh.)
just a couple of tips:
1.if you can get hold of a hub splitter it will help big time
2. you cant use enough wd40 when doing this job mainly on ball joints and where the shock fits into the hub
3. plan plenty of time to do it as the osf shock is a major headache to get in and out
4. dont jack the car up and dont put the axel stand on the rear beam as you will not get the springs out

haha I'm glad I don't do a lot of mileage in my Ibiza... If I did I reckon i'd slip a disk in my back!

i do about 20k a year and i dont find mine to harsh, even my girl friend said she didnt notice the difference in ride quailty except on the really big bumps

ive herd bad things about them tbh alot of people have problems with them so id say stay away. some others might be able to shed a bit more light though
you got it. they are ebay specials! i was lucky with mine they were cheap and they have not given me any problems
I hope we're going to see pictures of the finished job soon, Mike, I'm sure you'll be very happy with the result. I haven't lowered mine by much either, but even so it's looking much better than the SUV it looked like before!
