312mm calipers and carriers from a Skoda Octavia VRS...
Going to refurb/repaint them before putting them on when I need new discs and pads at the front (maybe next service). Not sure what colour to go for: maybe keep them Skoda green? Yellow? Red?
Was thinking yellow... would stand out even more! I will rub them down and clean them up a bit before deciding. I will probably have to paint them anyway (even if I stick with green....) Could go for Kawasaki green.
I can see your point about red calipers. These are off a Skoda VRS so are green at the moment. If I was being lazy, I would just bung them on the car as they are but I fancy doing a refurb myself. Might do a poll nearer the time I have to decide.
Incidently, what's the best stuff to use when repainting: dedicated caliper paint? Hammerite? any high temp paint?
id say hammerite i used it on my old brakes on my old car and had no problems and they were easy to keep clean,i painted the hangers with red hammerite and the calipers with black hammerite it looked well good with two colours,so good that my mate did the same to his old and new car lol.
Good man on the brakes! Will be interesting to get your review
I'm not a huge fan of painted calipers, however if I was the red would be the only colour i'd use! I think as your car is such a stealth mobile, red may look a little out of place?
