I would say recommend........
Remap (Custom Code/Revo)
TIP (Forge/THS)
DV (Forge 007p)
FMIC (Forge)
Open cone filter/ Panel Filter (Green Cotton)
Exhaust Cat Back (if funds allow)

Should come in around the £1500 for that lot providing your ok with fitting the bits yourself (remap obviously excluded).

:)

When you say make it faster, do you mean in a straight line or do you want it to handle as well? I assume you'd rather stay out of the ditches :D so here's my list...

Stage 1 Remap
Turbo Inlet Pipe
Forge 007 Diverter Valve
Induction Kit/Panel Filter
Rear Anti Roll Bar
A Matched Shock & Spring Package
10mm Rear Spacers

REVO has a very good name and good customer service, you'll be safe in the knowledge that if anything goes wrong with the remap, you have a wealth of dealers all over the UK to help you out. The same goes for Custom Code, just depends what kind of map you want...aggressive that'll shoot you off at lower and mid range revs or a progressive map that builds up as you floor it. This is my predicament.

As above £1,500 would be better spent on the handling and brakes than straight line speed.
The LCR does straight line speed very well, its just the twisties it falls down on.

Star performance do two very good maps for about £450, this teamed with a modded air box, panel filter, aftermarket DV and a 3" DP and freer flowing exhaust will make 270 BHP and 270 ft-lbs. this will set you back about £1,000.
This will leave you money to sort out the handling with a front strutt brace, uprated front ARB and Rear ARB.
Fitting would have to be done by you or your mates to stick within your budget.

get it remapped stage 2 straight away then its ready for the mods. wont make any difference having stage 1 for the time being when you do the mods then they are ready to be used to full potential.

£ around 300?

high flow panel filter £ 40
cold air feed £ 10
front mount intercooler can be done for 200 pound.
forge 007p dump valve £ 80'
set of coilovers £ 300
THS UPPER HOSES AND INTAKE PIPE £140

thats around £1100

maybe a set of feredo ds2500

and a exhaust system, i found a brand new cat back system for 250 blueflame in the for sale section. and a downpipe and decat for £ 150. after all that money spent and those mods id be looking to see a true 280+ bhp. you may want to spend a bit more on handling or tyres but ive just had a set of coilovers and it seems alrite for what i want.

I would probably concentrate on handling and braking first
ARBS
S3 brace
INA engine mounts
Badger 5 330mm 2 piece front set up
Higher boiling point brake fluid, etc.
Also some for reliability
007 d/v
Full set of hoses, TIP, uppers, lowers and high temp elbow
metal impellared water pump and cambelt change if not already done
Good service
All that will probably be more than 1500 notes but will make a big difference

not quite right matey, youll need to do the mods first, then stage 2 custom map to suit the mods, i.e dp and cat that are done.

£1500.... my piece

1. front arb
2. rear arb £260

3. dp and sport cat £350
4. induction kit £100 tops
5. forge 007p £80
6. forge/ths tip £70
7. tt wishbone bushes £20
8. new topmounts £30
9. shock and springs weitec, h&r £350
10. stage 2 map. p-torque £350

total £1630 near enough though

look into 4 wheel alignment when done, then add a s3 upper and lower brace for pennies, and youre set to go.

Davgor, if you find yourself in the Aberdeen area give me a shout and I'll take you out in my motor.
Perhaps this might swing you towards handling and braking mods;)

stage 2 isnt always a custom map. just runs more boost etc and the uprated components can handle it more and give a better less restricted power output, i had a custom map ready for most things and told it wouldnt need changing and was ready for the upgrades such as exhaust, air filter and fmic. as it would open it up even more and nothing else on the map could be changed to push it even further. obviously a stage 1 generic map wouldnt be getting the best out of your uprated stuff.

revo stage 2 and custom code im sure are generic stage 2. tryed and tested? only a live or custom map is unique and tailored for mods. not really alot of difference in any of them. have tryed revo stage 1 and 2 and i wouldnt have one myself. i had a tuner custom map mine on rolling road. no need to change map again for exhaust of fmic as it would just improve as it is running at its best but would be opened up more with the mods. nothing could be tweaked anymore without pushing the limits.

handling and braking mods are good but dont overspend with 1500 worth of suspension. with the money you have to spend you can improve on every aspect of the car without overspending. but the things that are more likely to put a smile on your face are the remap and more noticeable able mods for when you put your foot down.

also dont waste the money on an induction kit, abosrobs too much heat from the engine bay. get a good panel filter with a direct cold air feed straight into the airbox to ram the cold air in from the front.

Custom code phase 2 is a custom map not a generic. Can't comment on revo as never had dealings with them.

I wouldn't quite say that get an induction kit is a waste of money as on a turbo car, yes cooler air is denser so therefore better, but all that nice cool air is being sucked through a nice hot turbo then spat out at pressure. If we were talking about NA cars would be a different story....;)

If inlet temps were a concern I would say go for an induction kit or airbox with uprated filter combined with an FMIC and your good. IMO stay away from the enclosed air filters as I have found on multiple logging sessions for them to be more restrictive than an open filter.
