I hear you techie. I actually spoke to the senior tech at my dealers today and he is holiday until beginning June but he will also follow this up and make sure if it can or can't be done. I tried calling VW also and they were so unhelpfull and then another dealer in West London also very unhelpfull lady. She wouldn't even let me speak to the tech.

you'll have to speak to milton keens training centre mate the dealers wont hand it out as like i emailed you yesterday theyll not release the code as its classed as a saftey feature on the car..

Does it really need to be turned off, i meen as said its a saftey feature and all it is is a light coming on outside ur car...

I want somebody to tell me HOW a fog light is a safety feature????????? Is it not after all illigal to use them when there is no fog? I know I got nailed in scotland for that. I can understand the DLR's being a safety feature but really, fogs???!!!!

I work as a mastertech at a main dealer, I will ask technical for help. If the code can be manually altered then fine, but it's not on guided functions on VAS 5051B as yet.

Its all about long coding!!

I WORK AT A SEAT DEALERSHIP IN DEVON, EVERY IBIZA HAS ITS OWN LONG CODING DEPENDING ON ELECTRICAL OPTIONS FITTED WHEN NEW.USING SEAT'S VAS DIAGNOSTIC COMPUTER YOU CAN CHANGE THE CODING TO TURN THE CORNERING FUNCTION OFF SO THE FRONTS FOGS WORK NORMALLY ie WHEN YOU PULL THE SWITCH OUT,WE HAVE ONLY BEEN ASKED TO TURN 2 CARS OFF SO FAR.

sxi20vt so am I correct in assuming that the 2 cars which asked to have their cornering fogs de-activated were done? If so please send me your dealership details and I'll be there soonest to have it done hehehehehehehehhe. I still find it strange though that there are so many conflicting stories about this function with certain or most dealers saying it can't be done but a select few are saying it can be done. Techie is the right man to get to the bottom of this though hehehehehehehehheehe. I shall await word!

done and dusted! took about 30mins of figuring out what bit of coding needed to be changed, but yes, i have done it. fogs still work when operated by the switch.
