Hi

I've not long been home after getting my car remapped today at a company called Evolve Automotive in Luton. I have a FR PD130 (well it was 130) and I am incredibly pleased with the level of service i received and the map they supplied.

Originally i was planning to get a custom code map from them, but after a bit of talking and showing me some torque curves of a Fabia VRS PD130 i was convinced to go with their own tailored map. The fabia got gains up to 185 bhp and 350 lbs.ft of torque so i expect mine are similar as that was a completly standard vrs.

A note of interest to all PD130 owners, they get a lot of PD130's in there and they say that usually the standard power is over 130, more like 140-150.

A nice tocuh they also do is almost exactly match the remapped torque curve with the standard one up to about 1800 rpm so you get limited, if any clutch slip.

So i highly recommend this company if you live near Luton and want your car remapped. An all this above for a very reasonable £300!

Here's their site if your interested.

Of course it did david. At this point I would add the most sarcasic smilie SCN has, however I honestly dont think its up the job of how much sarcasm I want to make out of that first sentence.

So 185bhp with no exhaust, filter's, FMIC and a mere 350lb.ft of torque for a standard clutch that most cant run 300lb.ft on without slipping.

With sounding rude, thats bull$hit.

Coming from other forums onto here, its good to see that the dreamers are still about and so are the quality comments that shoot them straight back down again.
HAHAHA

no we are saying no way would a pd130 make 350 lbft of torque without any supporting mods. if its standard it will be blown up before long, you will have clutch slip and the turbo will be pissing white smoke out the exhaust as its f*cked

on second thoughts, did they show you it on a m0rksport etchasketch remap?:roflmao:

Well the torque curve i got shown had max peak of about 245 lbs.ft before which i think is completely plausible considering stated max torque is 229. They were surprised by how much extra torque they got out. Obviously not every PD130 is gonna respond that well to mapping but most will be around about those figures.

Anyway despite whether anyone believes it or not they are still a good company with a good service!!

Im runnin, front mount, miltek, green cotton panel in 160 setup and revo remap and i reckon its got to be near 300lbs.

But 350lbs !!! with an otherwise standard car :cartman:
And as said above the clutch would last about three goes at full boost i reckon!

Just my opinion by the way so may be way out :D;)

Just looked at the site:-

vRS St1 gives +45bhp, +70Nm torque
Ibiza Tdi St1 gives +31bhp, +51Nm torque

Same engine, both St1, rather different outputs!
Anyway, as the torque figs are in Nm why show you a graph in lbft (1lbft~1.35Nm, so 229lbft std ~ 310Nm)? If the fig was in Nm, now that would make more sense.

to be honest it sounds like their rolling road is a mile out?! A standard 130 is around 140 to 150?! every rolling road will give a different result, even the best!
so if we do a bit of maths...... the rolling road is 20hp out.......so really they are getting 165bhp, which suprisingly is about what everyone else seems to get!
