Autobahn are great to drive until dark and wet. The lines are generally not reflective like the UK and no cats eyes, so unlit sections can be tricky.
However, unlike the UK lines are generally well painted so lane assist works far more reliably. The lane lines do have a rippled effect, similar to hard shoulder rumble strips (but smaller ripples), so you get an audible warning when changing lanes.
Also don’t speed through junctions or roadworks otherwise you will need to make a bank transfer - so my friends all tell me
