I used to do that years ago, but usually found some ****** would kick / knock the cardboard by accident and half the bloody things fell out. clear plastic bags for me.

I have a shelf which is labelled accordingly for the 1.8t builds
handy to have

Wurth trays or chinese takaway tubs with lids are good. You can write on them too and they stack well.

always used cardboard when doing a cylinder head

the head gasket packet comes handy and free with the new head gasket

paint cups are handy when stripping a car - can draw on em for location or leave in front footwell rear foortwell etc

I keep mine organised in my head, then that goes pear shaped and I either forget, or the bolts move magically.

I really should keep them sorted as it would make my life a hell of a lot easier! Especially when I'm forever taking my bike apart. But then I basicly know excatly what bolt goes where on that..!

That looks like a good idea that one!
