goodmorning everyone:D!some quick thoughts before i forget them about roads and drivers!italy:very good roads, very bad drivers(aggressive),a lot of stations with gas and great food along the way,a lot of trucks:(!!swiss:the moment you pass the border you can feel the difference!really clean, smaller but good roads, everyone keeps the speed limits(in italy noone),fewer stations, the best scenery from all the highways all over europe by far!france:great roads, lights only around towns like the others though, good drivers, not so good stations, fewer trucks.luxembourg:great roads, lights everywhere!limits very very loose!the town was very miserable though,no life at all!belgium:best roads by far, loose speed limits, lights almost everywhere and the road from brussels to calais is really amazing, really fast smooth flow!:D.i recommend a weekend to brussels to you guys anytime it's just beautifull!!uk: we'll talk when i leave...:D.next time we'll also talk about the cupra ok?:D

ok guys london is beautifull even more than paris, and i love paris, but oh my god it's so expensive!!i mean everything that in greece costs 1euro ,lets say ,here it costs 1pound so you are 50% more expensive in everything!!!i took my car today for a quick automatic wash at a nearby bp station and they took me 7pounds for what in greece i would have paid 6euros!!!is this only in london or everywhere in england?today i also have seen a jeep hammer limo 20metres long,i have it on video, really really kits!!we leave saturday for france and i hope i don't loose my license like lewis did!!cheers!!

LOL - yes London is expensive, but then most of the UK is far behind on day to day costs - and don't even talk about house prices!

You've obviously not filled up with Petrol to realise how expensive it is otherwise you'd have said about that too!

holiday inn kensington forum.very good hotel and we only got it for 110euros per night, great deal!!about the petrol i had 46.38lt of v-power for 50.51 pounds!!!!cheers!ps:the garage is costing me 25 pounds per night thought!!a lot of money guys.............

we're going to paris tomorrow for 4 days and then our long way back to ancona!some quick stuff about the cupra so far:1)there is a lot of power throughout the rev range although for some (a few) times i wished i had the revo on for those huge straights and espesially for the brussells-calais route! 2)at 130kph-145kph the fuel cons. is 9,8-10,2lt/100km which is great but....if you press it and travel at 160-180kph it goes to 14,5-17 li/100km!so be patient and on the limits...at least for most of the time!3)the driving position is almost perfect for long journeys except for a couple of thinks.first you NEED to install some kind of cushion in the doors plastics(see my thread) it really worked after 955km in one day!!!second the seat is a little bit narrow at the thighs, and i'm not fat mind you ,so after 3 or more hours of driving my left thigh was getting a little sore.maybe for you guys it will be the right one...Also i would have wanted more support for my lower back.i remind you that these problems begin after 4 or 5 hours behind the wheel, and yes i had a break every 2 or 3 hours on the road!!last little problem was the clutch.after a very long drive(lets say 5 hours) when i was entering a city and had to use it all the time it felt heavy and tiresome to use it,at this time i really wish i had the fr dsg...all in all nothing special though!these were my little problems, the pros you all now them very well don't you!?!

ok,we're back in athens the last couple days!the ferry trip from ancona was really smooth,no sea at all,but the road from patra to athens is the worst by far in all of europe!!shame on us!!!now lets go back one week...

the trip from london to paris was ok,except some fog just before dover and a lot of snow from calais and 100km after that, nothing serious to report though!!getting into paris was relatively easy, and we used the car the days we stayed there to move around.the roads were much more wider thn in london, not a lot of traffic and many parking options!on the other hand london has by far the best bus system i met so there weren't really a need to use your own car to move around!!

what was really amazing though was how easy the trip from paris to ancona was after all!it was 1325km from our hotel to the port in ancona....we left paris at 8.30am christmas morning, everyone still asleep and reached ancona 9.30 pm!we stopped every 2.30 hours for gas or just a rest and we really enjoyed the ride down to ancona!!the seat didn't bother me that much this time around...strange!!
