piperX is foam filter which i personally will not trust again. they allow small dust particles to slowly find their way thru the filters, and to work they have to apply "goop" coating to catch stuff like dust.

green filters far superior product (cotton gauze generally) imho

Pipercross say there filters for vag cars are no longer oil covered etc etc. so i shall try these, as they want a 15% restocking fee!!!

lol - its not like i dont have a traders section on here wiuth prices on..

piperx without coating will not filter small dust particles, the coating is what catches them. the only thing is pore size stopping dust injestion, and foam filter pore size is relatively huge compared to dust particles.
