have a look at cupra/facelift bumper fitting/removal thread lots of em as this is what you will prob have to do to remove them without breaking the clips as that is how they are held in and you need to get behind them. Think the 2 by the S badge you can just unbolt the top of the bumper rather than the whole thing but not so if you mean the fog light ones and main bottom grill.

yea, im on about the top 2 by the s badge, it looks like simply undoing the screws at the top- i'll look at those threads before i make a hash of it!! have you painted around the edges of yours??? Thanks for the advice :D

what are you replacing the grills with?you have to pretty much lever them out with a screwdriver, there held on by clips so u will probably end up breaking them in the process like me, i aint too bothered tho cos happy wiht the ones i replaced em with, no easy way of doing it really sooo easy to put new ones in tho just getting em out which hard bit

yeh they are clipped on them two then the clips are melted on so they are a ******* to pull out I presume you are putting honey comb ones on so just break them think everyone else did. I swapped bumpers and already have honeycomb ones so carefully took them off but this was with the bumper off the car so easier to get to the back of them. I have not painted mine I have chrome grill kit glued on which is unpopular with most people but I like it.

are they not held in with screws then?? i want to replace them with FR grills, do they just pop out (with a bit of force!!)????

no they are clipped in, the the plastic clip melted from behind to secure them most things on the car are clipped on alot cheaper than screws! with force can take them out but you break the back of the clips that are melted on you see. But if you are replacing them don't worry about that as you won't need them anymore and I wouldn't bother selling them on as everyone wants honeycomb ones!

Yeh you will see, if I were you just undo the big screws holding the bumper on by the headlamps maybe a couple of the screw in the wheel arches at the top give the bumper a tug and it should sit forward a bit so you can get behind it.
If not take the whole bumper off not hard (yes me a mere woman actually did this alone!) there are alot of detailed threads with pics showing how to do this to help you locate the screws.
But you prob don't need to bother I'd just pull them out and bin them clip the new ones in, saves all the hassle! Have fun!
