Hi everyone,

I've had my seat leon cupra 290 for 3 months now (70 plate) its done 2k miles on it now, one thing I've noticed recently is that it struggles to grip when accelerating and the car just make slows of noise from the front like jolting and you can feel it in the car. The tyre threads are fine and I have continentals which came stock with the car. The car is stock and I have not made any changes to it. Anyone else have the same problem or noticed it? Launch control is not even an option as it just struggles.

Winter weather temperatures, you are running Summer tyres, they only perform their best in temperatures above 7 degree’s celsius. Below 7 degree’s the rubber compound hardens up and you get less grip.

This ^ but the Conti's are terrible in the dry too, even with 4drive I swapped them out soon as I got the car as they'd didn't inspire the car with any confidence compared to a 280 ST FWD with Michelin Pilot Super Sports.

A 70 plate car is likely to be version 2 but I advise you to take a photo or video of the mount and compare with the images on the website. The differences are fairly obvious.

By the way, I have this one as I prefer metal to plastic:-
