I didnt want to justify the extra costs. Wont do it now as manifold is being coated, but maybe next time.

were'nt around when I bought mine else I would probably have gone for one... however, the inlet to them is 50mm ID which is too small, and smaller than my IHI style FP was (52mm) for my setup
I have'nt seen specs for this dimension other than from a couple of guys who have got them for their GT30 based setups, once of whome is likely to get a welded on stub out of the Tial housing to an external 44mm vbanded tial wastegate, that would be a compact way of doing things for sure.

its all to do with the fittings, I think most are flanged connections
The v band ones seem to be 'special' ones, or if you have enough money any turbo could have it

no gasket on vbands, so one less gasket to fail. allows rotation for alignment etc. simple one bolt clamping also.

the fuel guage problem...
ive taken the pump out and checked it over. all looks good. on the s3 pump you need to solder 2 wires together from the 2nd fuel level sender. i checked continuity on that and is fine.
i then connected the pump back up but had it in my hands rather than in the tank. i had the level float set as if the tank was empty....gauge reads half a tank!?
i then lift the float as if tank is full....gauge drops to empty :S
does this sound like the level sender is faulty?

its a multi plug so you cant get it wrong. lol
but on the internal wires on the pump that go to the sender, i swaped them round but it didnt work still

if it was back to front i guess it would read full tank when float is low and empty when level is high. but it wont go above half :S
