Sorry, I'm keeping the Cupra lamps just in case!

Silica Gel was one of the options I was thinking of...did you break the packet or hide the packet behind the lamp?

Simon34 - When i searched 2 weeks ago it was you that i got the information off, couldn't remember when i was writing the post last nite, so thanks!!

Nathwar - I think the holes face down, i drilled them from the top anyway!

I was really shocked how bad it got but i don't get it anywhere else in the lights on the car. it had been like it was from when i bought it 2 moths ago, i mentioned it at the time to the dealer and he said that as it had been standing for a bit that it would soon clear when in use!

No problem matey thats what this place is for :D

at work we use windsceen sealant in the bottom of the tube there is a tiny pot of silicon gel i bond alot of screens in at my job and have loads of these pots hanging around i stick the pot to the back of the headlamp assembly inside and all mist was illiminated and its dealer warranty friendly ;)

Looks like I'm not the only one who prefers the Red lamps to the Cupra ones... I got a set on eBay and when holding them up to the car I thought "Nah..." and sold them to someone on here :)

they are a bit lexus'ey chav style but i want the outside standard look

forgot to metion in last post obviously the gel packs come with shoes, diy products, toys and lots more :)

Hi,

I'm having a similar poblem and i was going to drill the holes but i thought if i did that how would i stand with my warrenty

Well you will lose your warranty cover on the two plastic covers you drilled holes in but shouldn't effect it on anything else.

The rear lamps are chavvy, and on a Grey car they blend in but make it look too "dull". Red lamps will break the colour up!

I got outbid on the set I was watching, I'll have to look for some more!

Yeah I was planning to do the same with the silica gel! It should work a treat!

Marshalls of Bedford drilled the lamps as part of a technical bulletin they were sent by SEAT. I'm sure most dealers ignore these!

My front lamps were drilled by the dealer before it was collected, so they're fine, but my back ones love to steam up. I've decided I don't like the Cupra lamps so I'm buying some 1.2 ones. When I fit them, I'll look into how to solve the issue :)

do you want to sell your old misty one's? I need a full set! PM me!
Thanks RICHIE

Dave could you sent me these pics. Since links doesnt work anymore.. They were really nice ones. Id post them up in our finnish bb, they had some issues regarding drilling holes in their headlamps so id show them that it really does work.:) Since I didnt take any before/after piccies when i did this mod
