Handbrake Light Flashing andBeeping!

Just driving along and the handbrake light starts flashing and beeping,so i made sure the handrake was fully off,and it defo is.

So what does this mean?

As the light is now constantly flashing,there is plenty of fluid in.

check you brake fluid cap is on properly and the connector is plugged in .

the sensor under the h/brake could be stuck in, have a nosey.

Anybody come to a resolution with this problem as my 99 Toledo TDi has just started doing this.

A few seconds after I take my foot off the brake pedal the handbrake light will start flashing and dash will beep for a few seconds. Not so bad when on motorway, but in rush hour is driving me up the wall!!

Also rather concerned about why it is doing it and fi anythign wrong with the car.
