I just had to have new tyres on the front of the wee beastie, they didn't stock Avon ZZ3's (and didn't reckon they were much cop) so I went for Toyo Proxies. I had to raise the front up a bit cause they were a bit chunkier in the tread and were rubbing a bit. I have a feeling that the back now sits a tad lower than the front......

Would this affect how the front feels, because its gone a bit light and feels like the wheels are floating around on the road surface rather than gripping.......or have I just bought naff tyres?

Cheers!

i found this on mine... just fitted coilovers and had new wheels with proxies t1's on and they are chunky and it catchin on the rear on the drivers side, took it to awesome gti and got a full geo and had them raise it 10mm, but yea if you have raised it alot at the back compared to the front... could make it handle funny, i would say 5mm higher at the back to the front is about as much as i'd go i reckon, maybe your tracking, camber needs resetting. mine still catches on the rear drivers side at the, the inner plastic bit but it only does it on really big bumps, but ive got 15mm spacers on aswell... hope this helps

new tyres with full tread depth will feel lighter than worn ones.
allow the new ones to bed in a bit before changing...
they may well settle down
