Hardwiring?

Has anyone hardwired a snooper or similar into the mk3? i've had a search but i just gettin confused. any guide's wud be great.

you could wire off the wires shown in the below thread just don't use the backlight positive, use the switched live as your positive and the backlight negative !!

what so i could use the negative as the earth? would it be easy to connect the wires 2gether?

Negative is Earth ... So the wire coming from the snooper what does it normally go to the cigarette lighter ?? What was you planning on cutting the cable and wiring it straight into the car electrics so that it comes on when you turn the ignition on ??

Don't join the 2 wires that come from the car together as you'll blow something !!

You need to connect the live that goes to the snooper to the switched live in the picture and the negative the goes to the snooper to the backlight negative in the picture..

Use a multimeter though to confirm they are as said in the picture though before connecting to your snooper as the snooper is a bit expensive to be damaging through connecting incorrectly !!

Question along similar lines (didn't want to start another thread as I know how annoying it gets!!)

Electrical novice here - could I get multiple devices running on like a scotch plug using the same switched live and negetive?

I.E. Mobile phone charger, sat nav charger, boost and oil temp guages or is that too much load for the cables?
