Hi guys,
I recently bought a cr170 fr (facelift) and decided having read good reviews that I would get a DTUK tuning box for it. One came up for sale last week on here (the seller was great btw) so I promptly bought it and got it fitted.
The previous owner had it set on 2+2 which felt great, but I wanted to try it on 2+1 (its the mrs car mainly and I didn't want her slipping the clutch with the lump of low down torque). Simple I thought, the instructions seemed confusing so I will call DTUK themselves just to confirm the procedure.....
having promptly picked up the phone I was quickly asked where I had bought the unit from. As soon as I explained I had bought the unit second hand the person on the other end of the phone became extremely abrupt, refused to give any sort of after sales help and essentially told me after-sales help was for customers of his only. This seems really strange to me that a manufacturer of a product would completely wash their hands of something like this? I tried to explain to the guy that I wasn't wanting any fitting help or lengthy discussions, I just wanted a quick explanation of how to adjust the boost settings.
Has anyone else experienced this from DTUK?
I could completely understand the response if I wanted to moan or something, but as it happens I am very happy with the product.
needless to say I am unlikely to now recommend them based on the service I received
