Hi, Cupra Tavascan V1 arrived last week -
Totally smitten with it apart from 1 thing and its making me not want to drive it as its so uncomfortable - The suspension is awful!
I cant help but think that something must be wrong with it? On the flat its amazingly smooth - The minute you hit the slightest mound, not even a bump the cars bouncing all over the place. Any road that is slightly uneven, its all over the place. It has a real thump that makes you cringe over the smallest speed bumps/pot hole - drove to town yesterday and felt sick by the time I got back - surely this cant be right? ( I want to go back to driving my old Audi that Ive just put up for sale!)
We watched loads of reviews of The Tavascan, not one person mentioned the suspension, if it was as bad as mine is, it would have been mentioned!
Im loving everything else about this vehicle - Any advice greatly appreciated.
Think I'll be phoning the dealer on Monday

I'm not sure sure if these have transport blocks in the suspension, but that might be the first place for the dealer to look
Hi, thank you, Hubby thought that might be the case and had a quick look a few days ago, but couldnt see anything - although tbh, he wasnt quite sure he was looking in the right place.....

Ideally, you need to raise the vehicle to check properly. If there are any in there they will be under the plastic dust cover.

I’ve just posted the same in response to @FGC ‘s post in the ‘Introduction - New Members, section. I’ve included links to other posts that show the location of the blocks and how to remove them.

Great minds think alike! 👍🙂.

Investigation complete and you were correct! Absolutely fuming and delighted all at the same time! Thank you so much for your reply and your help. Dealer will be getting a call tomorrow! Been out for a drive and its a completely different drive, so relieved!

Well that's that mystery solved 🤦🏻

Hopefully it'll feel a lot smoother on the road now.

Feel free to drop them back into your supplying dealer in exchange for an apology and hopefully some free goodies...
