having major issues with cruise control.

has anyone had a problem fitting cruise control i work at vw and me and a tech fitted cruise control to my 05 leon FR and followed the instructions to a T also got told to buy the cc kit for an 1.8t octavia as they come with the wiring loom. all good £54.60 inc vat. after fitting it we logged in to my ecu we put the car as a 1j golf 1.8t AUQ engine all the same as mine activated it with the code supplied and the guided fault finding tried the cruise and nothing. we have scartched our brains for days and even the vw master tech has not got a clue what this could be does any 1 have any suggestions as why my cc doesnt work..

Did this problem get sorted? Iv fitted a kit to my 2004 leon fr tdi, activated it but it doesnt work. I know the clutch and brake switches are ok as prooved this on vagcom.

Just recheck all your connections (including the one to the back of the fusebox)

just recheck the pin numbers and make sure the connecters stayed there as i had to open mine up alittle more so they clicked. i sorted mine but took a couple of hours turned out to be the clutch switch i used the ODIS at VW to check out the block reading for the clutch and brake switch

Yeah i think infortunatly im gonna strip dash and scuttle down and double check plug etc. im fairly certain my brake and clutch switches are ok as they both go from 0 to 1 in measuring blocks
