Awesome, can I ask you a few questions; Is it any good? Where did you get it from? Does it work with steering wheel and Dashboard Display? Does it have GPS and other fancy stuff :)

Thanks very much

Dave.

I'd buy the Philips I have plus the proper Seat Fascia and Connects 2 cables and 4 Kenwood speakers with the change.

That is a shame, oddly enough this no-name Android one interests me in that it doesn't have that Ebay-run-a-mile feel. I'd still choose the Philips or a 2nd hand Kenwood first but I'd take a punt on it over the Pioneer one mainly due to it running Android

Just wondering Saint, would any double din stereo be suitable? Not totally sure if I should looking for a unit which only states Vw or Seat in the title? I'm aware on how stupid this sounds.

Thanks again for all your help.

I don't think that is a stupid question, a lot of people seem to want something that appears to be specifically designed for the car or car type. The Philips unit I bought is totally non-specific to VW family vehicles but the Connects2 cables looked after that.
I suppose there is the issue of the physical fitting being easier if the unit has the four screwhole lugs that directly fit the VW family but I had no issues with the normal Double Din cage inside the VW adaptor. Back to the Pumpkin units on Amazon, here is a slightly different design that to me looks a bit nicer which says
Pumpkin 8 Inch Android 4.4 Double Din Capacitive In Dash HD Multi-touch Screen Car DVD Player Stereo for VW/Skoda/Seat GPS Navigation

I must admit that I would increasingly be inclined to take a gamble on the unknown factors here given the huge apps support of Android, I particularly like the OBD2 thing with Torque

I like this one, looks quality. Love the android system. Just read the review on Amazon and reads well.
Thanks Saint. You've obviously got the patience of one (see what I did there)

Another thing I would be wary of with units that aren't listed as VAG compatible is the fitting of the fascia. Compatible units will have the same front face dimensions and radius on the corners as OEM media units making it possible to fit the OEM fascia. Non compatible units may mean the fascia either won't fit at all or it will be a poor fit with gaps around the edge / corners.
