Hi All,

I have A 2009 Cupra with Xenon self leveling headlights with no dip adjustment setting in the car.

The lights seem to be pointing too far down at the road for my liking.

Is there any adjustment so I can lift them up a little?
If so, how do I do it?

Thanks

Right, I need someone to confirm this as recently I've had my doubts. Have a look under the bonnet, there should be a white Allen key hole on each of the light clusters, turning this will raise or dim the lights manually. However, some say that unless you set this setting (vcds) as normal, the lights eventually adjust back to how they were, but I don't think it does, but sometimes they still look low, could just be weight in the car I guess

Hi Graham,

I also have VCDS, but have yet to find a setting in there which will allow me to change my headlight settings.
I will check for the allen key type fittings now :)

I just checked and do have the Allen key jobbies.

Would be better if can be done in VCDS though.

I am having projector lenses retrofitted at the time being and will hopefully receive them tomorrow. If the alignment is a little high or a little low I'll try the electronic adjustment in the car since the lens is actually mounted inside the OEM reflector. If that doesn't give me the results I want, then I'll go for the manual adjustment, although I am pretty sure that the manual adjustment method raises/dims both the dipped as well as the main beams.

Thanks so much Graham.

It worked a treat, although I think I need to tweak them back down a little as I can now see stuff quarter of a mile up the road lol.

I think you'll deffo need to do some manual adjustment.
Unfortunately my car does not have incar adjustment due to auto leveling.
