Headlight condensation problem

Hi, I'm having problems with condensation in my head lights it's nearly covering the whole lense! Tonight I dried it all out using a hair dryer, I then stuck two silicon bags from a shoe box on the inside of the back cover as a friend said this worked for me, I just had a look at it an it's full off condensation again! Was just wondering if you guys no any other way to solve the problem.

you need to blow out headlight with a air line and then put silicone bags in it

I removed the back cover of the bulbs, used the hair dryer for around 15 - 20 minutes from the outside, and then blew some cold air from the bulb slots for 5 minutes and then sealed everything up and it has been fine ever since.

I had the same problem, I removed the rear covers, used a hair dryer then turned the lights on for half an hour with the backs off (engine running) refited back nice and dry for three weeks know

You used the hair drier from the outside and that's why it didn't work.

Use hr hair drier to blow the warm air into the headlight through the back, tape on a kitchen roll cardboard tube to help you get the warm air directed into the back of the headlight. Once dry put the hair drier on cool to equalise the temps (otherwise it could condensate again) and that's it.

Get some cilica gel sacks behind the headlight cover. Takes a day to come out.....

hi still no look with the condensation!! its fogging up within minutes of me clearing it an we have had no rain! you reckon new seals?

If you've had no rain and they are fogged up then you haven't dried them out properly.

hair dryer in the back is the best way, if there is no space then tape a cardboard tube to it so the hot air can blow into the back of the light.

BTW, when using a hair dryer don't stop just because the visible fog has gone, you need to continue blowing warm air into it for a while after otherwise it's still damp in there.

Hi mate,

I had this problem.

Took the headlight off and checked the back of the headlight and there were a couple of small cracks in the back of it letting damp air in. I re sealed those cracks with a red hot flat head screw driver and blew out the head light with the hair dryer for about an hour, then dropped about 6 gel sachets in the back of the light and been right as rain since....

just removed the headlight and there is a small crack so problem solved!(hopfully) thanks for all the help and advice.

When you have washed and are going to polish and wax leave the covers off turn on the lights including high beam it will remove it and equalize the air temp should take no longer than 1.5 hours to be gone and dry, this happened to me and mine has fully gone.it was like this. Before:
