Headlight washers

Hi dose anyone know how the headlight washers work on a 53 plate 1.9 130 pd tdi se and if there is any know problem.

i do know they work with the headlights on and they use the same washer bottle as the washer jets.and the pipes run along the bumper to a pump in the bottle

With the lights turned on - when you press the windscreen wash button the headlight washers also pop up and give the lights a good dousing, it's a bit off putting for the first time if you do it in the dark as the lights appear to dim.
