Hi I'm Dave,

I Have an Ibiza 1.2 SX which is a great little car :) I'm in east sussex.

Just curious if anyone has a headlamp assembly instruction scan anywhere??
i'm picking up a new lamp tommorow and need to get it all fitted on saturday morning...

I'm pretty sure the bumper has to come off but if anyone can tell me otherwise i'd be grateful :)

I have some other bodywork assembly diagrams that i want to post but i have to make 15 posts first... once i have, i will post them up for anyone that is interested.

Cheers

Dave

yes the bumper does have to come off.

4x bolts under the bonnet, 2 x bolts behind the fog light grilles (or grilles where the fogs would be if you do not have fogs), 6 x bolts on the underside, 5 x bolts in each wheel arch. unclip the bumper from the wing sliders, and the bumper falls foward, unplug the fogs and temp sensor, remove bumper:) assuming you have a preface lift its slightly different for the facelift

yeah, just had a small dink on a roundabout and pushed nsf quarter in about 10mm. gonna take it all apart tonight (with a mate who works in a coachworks) and see if its all still there. the headlamp brackets cracked and the front panel has a crack in it. the only part that needs major attention is the headlight patterns as they are too high on one side (as far as legality is concerned).

Bumper removal is actually quite straightforward.

All the bolts are Torx fittings. Depending on the size of your tool ( [B)] ) you might need to turn the wheels to full lock in order to get the wheelarch bolts out, and lift the front of the car slightly to get the bottom front bolts out (either with a jack, or drive it up onto some blocks).

If you've got fogs, beware there is very little slack in the wiring, you'll have to support the bumper while you remove the wires from the foglights, before the bumper will fully clear the car. Same with the temp sensor too.
