New member, getting my first Cupra and it's a VZ, in a couple of weeks, very excited! It's a Dark Forest Green, only 700 miles on the clock and will be used as a private car and driving tuition, lucky learners eh!
Oh yes, sorry, it is a Born VZWelcome to the forum! Is that a Born VZ and do you have any pictures?
Lovely colour and car, I had one for a week back in August and was very impressed really comfortable on longer journeys and decent range as well.Oh yes, sorry, it is a Born VZ![]()
That's good to know, this is my first EV so I'm a little apprehensive about it but I'm sure I'll feel fine once I get into the routine of not going to the petrol station!Lovely colour and car, I had one for a week back in August and was very impressed really comfortable on longer journeys and decent range as well.
Welcome to SCN, yes a lovely car and a very nice colour too. I would have loved getting my lessons in such a car, not like the old LPG one that European driving school taught me in , that had hardly any power back in the 80's, enjoy. That's good to know, this is my first EV so I'm a little apprehensive about it but I'm sure I'll feel fine once I get into the routine of not going to the petrol station!
When I test drove it I felt comfortable after a few minutes, it's very smooth and quiet, lovely large screen which surprisingly goes unnoticed, I thought a large screen would be "in your face" too much.
I'm going to be using the car for driving lessons sometimes too as I'm a part time instructor, my learners are so lucky to have nice cars to learn in, better than the Mini Metro I done lessons in!
Is that your own car in your profile pic? Looks extremely shiny! Have you had it coated or just like me, a bit of an obsessive car cleaner!

Cool, I test drove a Raval after the Born, pretty much identical to drive, but the Born is up for £36k and I felt it was better to buy that after someone else took the big loss.Rover 100 was my first car, cars have come along way since. I think electric cars are great to learn in as throttle control is much better and more progressive. Born VZ is lovely and has some pace to it as well.
Yes, I picked up a brand new Raval V1 52kWH in September and an obsessive cleaner too... I put a coat of Autoglym Lifeshine CeraFuse then a coat of Fusso wax with Autoglym Cermaic spray on as coat for in between waxes.
Hello again, we seem to have the same taste in carsWelcome @MilgeS. I remember you from your Polo GTI days over on uk-polos.net forum; I seem to remember more recently you’ve been on golfmk8.com forum as you’ve had a Golf since then. How did you find the Golf?
I look forward to hearing how you get on with the Born and yes, as others have said, the colour looks great - a nice pleasant change to see something that’s a bit more vibrant than the greys, blacks and whites that many (most?) car manufacturers seem to favour these days. Just make sure those learner drivers don’t get too close to the kerb when parallel parking!
